2024 major events
Generative AI Hackathon 2024
From October 30 to December 7, the U.S.-CAEF Alumni Association hosted Kyrgyzstan’s first Generative AI Hackathon, bringing together 67 young innovators in 27 teams for a nationwide competition. Supported by the U.S. Government Alumni Small Grants Program, the event included expert-led webinars, mentorship from AI professionals, and hands-on collaboration. Finalists pitched 12 impactful AI solutions in healthcare, education, and women’s empowerment. Top teams—Kyrgyzdar, Asta, and Geeks—gained opportunities to scale their projects with Accelerate Prosperity. The hackathon also promoted language inclusion and cultural preservation in tech, with 50% of sessions conducted in Kyrgyz.
Alumni Black Tie 2024:
A Night of Connection, Insight, and Celebration
On October 25, 2024, the U.S.-CAEF Alumni Association hosted its annual Black Tie event, an evening of elegance and community supported by American Councils. Alumni, fellows, and partners gathered to exchange ideas and celebrate shared values, featuring engaging talks on blockchain and cultural preservation, lively discussions, and dancing to vibrant Central Asian music. A highlight was the silent auction, which supported future alumni initiatives. As the official program concluded, conversations continued late into the night, showcasing the strong bonds and inspiring energy of the U.S.-CAEF community.
