Adel Sultanbekova is a development professional and project strategist dedicated to building systems that empower women, children, and communities across Kyrgyzstan. A graduate of AUCA, Class of 2016, Business Administration, Adel brings over seven years of experience designing and implementing impactful programs in early childhood development (ECD), women’s entrepreneurship, and sustainable local growth.
As a Project Coordinator at the Aga Khan Foundation, she piloted Kyrgyzstan’s first ECD incubation program, helping over 100 women open 20+ new early learning centers and securing $3 million in follow-on investment. Her efforts have laid the groundwork for the nationwide “We Care” initiative, improving access to education and opportunity for hundreds of families.
Through the Araket project, she also equips women in underserved settlements with entrepreneurial skills and startup funding — with 150+ women supported and 11 businesses launched.
Previously, Adel worked at Accelerate Prosperity (AKDN), where she co-developed the first investment accelerator in Kyrgyzstan, supporting over 200 SMEs in sectors like tourism, IT, and production — including the first virtual accelerator during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Adel is also one of the founding members and former Board Members of the U.S.-CAEF Alumni Association. She played a pivotal role in legally establishing and shaping the structure of the Association, consistently supporting the community through mentorship, internships, and behind-the-scenes leadership.
With her blend of strategic thinking, heart-led leadership, and unwavering commitment to impact, Adel remains one of the most influential figures in the U.S.-CAEF community
